Station Mechanic

The Station Mechanic is responsible for assisting the maintenance department with plant maintenance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with the necessary repairs of equipment, property and the building.
Maintains accurate communication to other mechanic and departments.
Effectively uses electrical testing equipment.
Responsible to identify opportunities for improvement and to communicate those to supervisor or lead person.
Initiates and conducts routine preventative maintenance (PM's) on equipment by self or with minimal supervision.
Maintain shop 5s policies and cleanliness.
Other duties as required.
What You'll Need Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skill including: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentage calculations
Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to pass Prove It Test
Two years' experience in maintenance field preferred
Have the ability to work with minimal direct supervision
Excellent mechanical aptitude and abilities in order to analyze, evaluate, and solve mechanical problems
Excellent communication skills
Experience in the operation of maintenance power tools
Knowledge of electric and mechanical procedures
Flexibility to work weekends as needed
