Stationary EngineerJoin the team. Be valued. We are seeking an experienced Stationary Engineer to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair critical mechanical systems in a large facility environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, air compressors, HVAC equipment, and related control systems. The Stationary Engineer will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, respond to service requests and emergency situations, maintain operational records, and support overall facility reliability.The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience with commercial or healthcare facility systems, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service.Education Requirements:High school diploma or GED preferred unless otherwise specified.Additional education, certifications, or vocational training may be beneficial depending on the position.Experience Requirements:Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare facilitiesMinimum 5 years of experience operating, repairing, and maintaining commercial mechanical systemsExperience with boilers, chillers, control systems, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems preferredFlorida Boiler Operator License or military journeyman level 5+ documented on DD214 requiredEPA Universal Refrigeration Certification preferredJob Duties:Operate, inspect, maintain, repair, and replace mechanical and electrical systemsMonitor boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, compressors, and related equipmentPerform corrective and preventive maintenance activitiesRespond to service requests and emergency situationsComplete operating logs, maintenance reports, and required documentationTroubleshoot complex mechanical systems and controlsCoordinate with subcontractors and site personnel during maintenance and repairsMaintain accountability for tools, equipment, and spare partsRead and interpret blueprints, specifications, and control drawingsSafely operate hand and power toolsAbility to work around mechanical equipment and utilities systemsAbility to use hand and power tools safelyAbility to respond to emergency situations as neededAbility to work assigned shifts and overtime when requiredBenefits vary by client and are confirmed at the time of offer.
