Expected pay for this position is $35.24 - $41.46/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. Responds to calls for emergency repairs. Conducts routine inspections of mechanical equipment and boilers. Performs minor repairs or replaces broken or worn parts on mechanical equipment. Gives work directions to Boiler Operators and provides relief coverage. Coordinates work activities for his shift. Maintains logs of all work performed. Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work area. Functions as a member of the hospital fire response team. Studies manuals and journals to maintain technical competency and learns about new equipment.3rd shift; Monday-Friday; 11:00pm-7:00am, weekend rotationEligible for a $3,000 Sign On Bonus with a 2-year work commitmentREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:High School/GEDOther Licenses/Certifications:City of Chicago Stationary Engineers LicenseValid state driver's license.3 years of experience as a Boiler OperatorDemonstrates knowledge of machinery and parts, interprets blueprints, and is familiar with state and municipal codes.Other skills/knowledge:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
