In this hands-on role, you'll operate and maintain high-pressure boilers, industrial HVAC systems, and essential plant utilities that keep our facility running continuously. Your expertise will directly impact operational excellence as you monitor complex systems, respond to real-time operational demands, and execute preventive maintenance strategies. This position offers the opportunity to work with sophisticated industrial equipment while playing a vital role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and reliability of mission-critical infrastructure. If you're a licensed professional who thrives in dynamic environments and takes pride in keeping complex systems operational, this role provides the perfect blend of technical challenge and operational impact.What your day-to-day will look like:Operate and monitor high-pressure steam boilers in accordance with state regulations, performing routine inspections, water treatment monitoring, and combustion efficiency optimization while ensuring full compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirementsOperate and maintain industrial chiller systems and HVAC equipment, monitoring refrigerant levels, temperatures, and pressures to support facility cooling requirements and maintain optimal system performanceManage plant utilities including compressed air systems, compressors, dryers, and valve operations throughout the facility to maintain proper flow, pressure, and efficient system operation supporting continuous productionMonitor plant control systems and instrumentation continuously, responding promptly to alarms, equipment malfunctions, and operational irregularities by making real-time adjustments to maintain system stability and prevent downtimeExecute scheduled preventive maintenance programs on all assigned equipment, maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment records, and proactively identify potential issues to implement corrective actions before problems escalateRequired Qualifications:Valid State Stationary Steam Engineer License (non-negotiable)Demonstrated hands-on experience operating and maintaining high-pressure steam boilers in an industrial or commercial settingWorking knowledge of industrial chiller systems, compressed air systems, and plant utility operationsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, equipment blueprints, and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues quicklyFlexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays to support 24/7 continuous plant operationsPhysical capability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, stand for extended periods, and work in industrial environments with exposure to heat, noise, and machineryPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience in 24/7 manufacturing, industrial plant, or critical facility operationsKnowledge of water treatment systems, boiler chemistry, and chemical feed programsFamiliarity with building automation systems (BAS), control systems, and SCADA platformsHVAC/R certification, refrigeration license, or additional trade certificationsExperience with compressed air system optimization and energy management initiativesLocation: Mason, OHWork Shift: 12 Hour Day - 1st Shift/Morning Rotating shifts with overtime, weekend, and holiday coverage required to support 24/7 operationsThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
