COO - OPS - Institutions OperationsBoiler Operator Lead (S)Salary Range: $37,377-65,408 Salary Grade: NC07This is a position at Piedmont Correctional Institution located in Salisbury, N.C. (Rowan County), which is a Medium male prison facility housing 800 offenders. Employee will serve as operator and shift supervisor in a steam plant starting and shutting down boilers, monitoring various operational readings and making adjustments as needed. Position will report to facility Maintenance Supervisor.KEY JOB DUTIES:Directing and training staffSystem Monitoring/routine repairsWater Analysis and Chemical TreatmentSafety, Testing, and ComplianceRecord Keeping/log steam output, fuel consumption, and operational readingsApplicants who possess the following skills are preferred:Working knowledge of the operation of boilers and related equipment.Working knowledge of the maintenance requirements of boilers and related equipment.Physical strength sufficient to perform heavy physical tasks on a periodic basis.The State of North Carolina offers excellent comprehensive benefits.
