Role Overview
Use deep scientific expertise and coding skills to help improve AI systems by solving, reviewing, and validating challenging technical problems. This coding-heavy role involves rigorous scientific reasoning, data analysis, Python-based calculations or simulations, and evaluating whether AI-generated answers are technically correct.
Key Responsibilities
Solve complex scientific, mathematical, and technical problems within your area of expertise.
Review AI-generated solutions for factual, mathematical, and scientific accuracy.
Identify incorrect assumptions, reasoning errors, missing constraints, and subtle technical mistakes.
Develop rigorous solutions, including Python calculations or simulations where appropriate.
Qualifications
Deep expertise in at least one STEM discipline, including biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, earth science, geoscience, environmental science, robotics, or a directly relevant adjacent quantitative field.
Strong scientific, mathematical, or quantitative problem-solving skills.
Practical proficiency with Python or another programming language, including experience using coding agents in your workflow.
Experience with tools such as NumPy, SciPy, pandas, SymPy, Jupyter, or domain-specific scientific libraries is useful, though no specific library is required.
Expertise may come from academic research, industry, teaching, engineering, independent technical work, or other demonstrated experience. A specific degree or minimum number of years of experience is not required when strong field expertise can be demonstrated.
Work Terms
Independent contractor role, fully remote and open globally.
Approximately 15 hours per week.
Flexible schedule, with the ability to choose your working days and hours, including weekends.
Selected candidates should be ready to begin immediately and complete their first task within 24 to 48 hours after onboarding.
Compensation
$60 to $120 per hour.
Compensation is output-based and paid per task that meets project specifications.
Task completion time varies based on experience and workflow, and minimum submission requirements apply.
