Job description
We are seeking an innovative and student-focused STEM educator to join Massanutten Academy for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves teaching upper-level mathematics and computer science while integrating hands‑on, project‑based learning to develop critical thinking, problem‑solving, and academic excellence in a structured environment.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required
Master's Degree preferred
Teaching experience in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, STEM, or a related field preferred
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, parents, and cadets
Commitment to fostering a structured and disciplined learning environment
Experience integrating technology into instruction is preferred
Duties and Responsibilities
Teach upper-level Mathematics and Computer Science-based STEM courses
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives
Incorporate hands‑on, project‑based learning opportunities that encourage critical thinking and problem‑solving
Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and cadets
Maintain an accurate and up‑to‑date grade book
Mentor cadets through weekly advisory meetings
Participate in occasional weekend duties and school events
Adhere to all Academy policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook
Help maintain and foster a structured, disciplined, and positive classroom environment
Support the Academy's mission of academic achievement, leadership development, and character education
Employment Requirements
