Job description

After-School Teaching Specialist - Code & Create Program

Inspire the next generation of coders, creators, and problem-solvers!

Location: Multiple Clubhouse Sites - Silicon Valley

Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week

Payrate: $27.00/hour

What You'll Do

Teach Apple Curricula (Everyone Can Code and Everyone Can Create) lessons.

Lead hands-on activities in coding, robotics, and digital arts.

Manage classrooms and ensure a safe, positive learning environment.

Guide youth in showcasing their projects to families and the community.

Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners.

Requirements

1-2 years of teaching or instructional experience (STEM/tech preferred).

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Tech-savvy and eager to learn new tools (iPads, MacBooks, Apple apps).

Must pass background check, TB test, and hold (or obtain) CPR/First Aid certification.

Reliable transportation to travel to multiple sites.

Spanish bilingual skills are a plus!

Working Conditions

The Boys & Girls Clubs are often busy, noisy, and stressful environments. The Program Specialist is expected to work effectively in situations where many member and facility-related activities occur simultaneously.
