Job description
Sterile Processing TechThe Sterile Processing Tech will be responsible for the cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments. Candidates will work in a high-volume sterile processing environment specializing in Neuro, Ortho, robotics, and pediatrics. The department also handles normal service lines such as Urology, General Surgery, and Gynecology. The team is highly motivated with quality as a primary expectation. Candidates should be self-motivated and great team players with the ability to pick cases. Travelers may float between similar units as needed. Weekend shifts will be required. Travelers will work rotating weekends unless specified otherwise in their contract. The average surgical case volume in the unit is 65 cases per day. The daily tray volume is 1200 trays. The ideal candidate should possess supply knowledge and demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques. Documentation will be conducted in an instrumentation management system. All applicants must be willing to comply with all policies and requirements of the facility. Candidates are encouraged to showcase any relevant experience in a teaching or training environment. References will be required covering one year of experience in the last three years. Travelers should be prepared to float to other facilities as needed. The role may involve the handling of trauma and implant cases, experience in this area is preferred.
