Job description
Sterile Processing TechnicianThe Sterile Processing Technician cleans, prepares, sterilizes, and stores instruments for surgical services. The technician also prepares case carts for the operating room. The unit serves multiple surgical operating rooms, labor and delivery operating rooms, and other related facilities. This position primarily works in decontamination and rarely assembles trays. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Candidates must possess experience in a variety of surgical specialties, including robotics.Minimum of 5 years previous sterile processing experience is required. Certification required at hire. Certifications: CRCST or CSPDT must be maintained. Candidates must be certified (IASCHM, CBSPD, HSPA), have a 3 or above rating in Robotics, and have worked in a Level II Trauma or similar facility.
