Sterile Processing TechJob Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: A minimum of 5 years previous sterile processing experience is required. License: Certification required at hire and maintained. Certifications: CRCST or CSPDT and additional relevant certifications. Must-Have: Must be certified, have a rating of 3 or above in robotics, and have worked in a level II trauma facility or similar. Description: M-F . The Sterile Processing Tech I cleans, prepares, sterilizes, and stores instruments. The tech also prepares case carts for the operating room. This position will primarily be working in decontamination and will rarely be assembling trays. The department services multiple surgical operating rooms and various clinics. It handles a wide range of specialties, including robotics. The role requires familiarity with various vendors for tray instruments. Experience with proper cleaning and sterilization techniques is essential. Candidates must have a specialty-relevant certification included at the time of application. The position requires acute hospital experience and knowledge of aseptic techniques. Floating to nearby facilities may be required.
