Job Description
Surgical Services - Sterile Processing Tech
Schedule
Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.
Assignment Details
Contract length: 13 weeks, guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per week.
Requirements
2 years of experience required.
BLS certification.
CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA certification.
Knowledge of chemical agents for decontamination, disinfectants, sterilization wrapping procedures, and equipment such as washers/sterilizers.
Experience in assembly of sets/trays for various specialties including dental, ENT, general, laparoscopic, neurology, orthopedics, plastics, robotics, and urology.
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for up to 5 hours.
Responsibilities Ensure proper cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
Assemble and prepare surgical trays according to established protocols.
Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards within the sterile processing department.
Assist with inventory control and ensure adequate supply levels for surgical trays and instruments.
Participate in educational programs to expand knowledge of sterile processing standards and best practices.

Compliance / Notes
No on-call requirements. Local candidates must be at least 75 miles from the facility. Requests for time off are limited to no more than 7 days. Free parking is available.
