Sterile Processing TechJob Title: Sterile Processing TechProfession: Surgical ServicesSpecialty: Sterile ProcessingDuration: 13 weeksShift: DayHours per Shift: 8 hours (11:00 AM - 7:30 PM)Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar facilityLicense: Required: Valid license in the applicable fieldCertifications: CBSPD or CRCST through HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM)Must-Have:Experience with decontamination of medical items, including drills and scopesProficiency in assembly of instruments across various service linesKnowledge of sterilization processes (both sterrad and steam)Experience with high-level disinfection and scope processingFamiliarity with tracking systems and experience with MedivatorDescription: We are seeking candidates experienced in all areas of sterile processing. The candidate must have a background in the decontamination and assembly of medical instruments. Experience with sterilization processes is essential. Knowledge of high-level disinfection protocols is required. The role involves serving as a liaison between operating rooms and the sterile processing department. Candidates will be responsible for ensuring the safe reuse of medical supplies and instrumentation. The position may involve rotating weekends and occasional holidays. Travelers are expected to have prior experience in a high-volume facility. All candidates must provide professional references from previous supervisors or directors. The position requires an understanding of proper sterilization wrapping procedures and selection of materials. Flexibility in working hours and locations may be necessary.
