Job description

Sterile Tech ProfessionJob Title: Sterile Tech Profession: Sterile Tech Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evenings Hours per Shift: 10 hours 1 PM - 11:30 PM Experience: 1 year of Sterile Processing experience License: Not required Certifications: BLS, CRCST or CBSPD Must-Have: 1 year of SPD experience Experience utilizing ultrasonic, decontamination, assembly, and VPRO Description: The position requires experience in assembly, decontamination, and sterilization. Clinicians will handle typical OR instrumentation and common equipment used to disinfect and sterilize supplies. The schedule consists of 4x10 shifts, primarily in the evenings. Call duty is required for 24 hours on weekends every 8 weeks. Self-scheduling is allowed. Call response time is expected to be within 30 minutes. No floating requirements are enforced. Scrub color/dress code is blue (ceil). Unit-specific orientation will be provided. Cancellation policy allows for the cancellation of up to 4 shifts per assignment. Charting system utilized is EPIC.
