The SP Tech II demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness when working in an in-direct patient care department and addressing the request of the customer or provider.Minimum Qualifications:Education: High School Diploma or GED (AND) Central Service Technology Course/Or EquivalentWork Experience: (at least one year experience in central sterile processing)License & Certifications: Hold one of the following certifications or obtain within one year of hire: CRCST, CSPDT, or CBSPDCommunication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact)Bilingual skills preferredWriting/Reports (Legible handwriting and coherent writing)Other Skills: Medical Terms (Surgical/ Medical Terminology Knowledge, Critical Thinking, Multi-task in a fast paced environment, Ability to lead projects,Monitor and interpret results of gauges & Research surgical instruments and supply companies), PC (Skills must be appropriate to meet the job requirements)Work Schedule: Weekends, Holidays, Flexible, On CallEquipment Operated: Sterilization equipment, decontamination equipment, computer/printer, elevator system, scope disinfector, heat sealer, and incubators. Bar code Scanners Computer software, Temperature Monitors, and Equipment Gauges, Visual Screen Monitors, Digital Camera, and Inter-department Paging System
