Sterile Processing Tech MUSC Florence Sterile Processing - FTUnder the general supervision of the Coordinator, Manager, or Director, the Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, processing, and sterilization of instruments used to support physicians and surgical teams in the operating room and other departments as needed. This role requires strict adherence to medical center policies and procedures, as well as compliance with state, local, and federal regulations. The technician plays a critical role in ensuring patient safety and supporting clinical operations through accurate and timely sterile reprocessing.High School Diploma or GED, and certification through CRCST - HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) or CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution).If you like working with energetic enthusiastic individuals, you will enjoy your career with us!The Medical University of South Carolina is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
