Job description
Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)We are seeking experienced candidates for the role of Sterile Processing Tech (SPT). The ideal candidates will be proficient in all areas of sterile processing and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care.Key ResponsibilitiesDecontamination of all medical items including drills, Da Vinci instruments, and scopes.Assembly of instruments across all service lines, including trauma, loaners, and peel packaging.Management of sterilization processes, specifically utilizing Sterrad and steam sterilization techniques.Experience with high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope processing.Maintenance of sterile storage environments to ensure safety and compliance.Collaboration with operating room (OR) teams as a liaison to facilitate effective communication and workflow.Proficiency in using Censitrac tracking systems for instrument management.Experience with Medivator systems is required.QualificationsCertification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CBSPD or CRCST) through HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) is required.Previous experience working in a fast-paced, Level One trauma facility is highly preferred.Strong attention to detail and commitment to best practices in sterile processing.Ability to work rotating weekends and occasional scheduled holidays.We encourage qualified candidates who meet these qualifications to apply.
