Sterile Processing Technician (Travel)Join a leading acute care hospital in beautiful San Diego! We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical services by ensuring the proper cleaning, sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment.Job DetailsSchedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PMHours: 40 Hours Per WeekWeekend Requirement: Every other weekend or two weekends per 4-week schedule periodRequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum 3 years of Sterile Processing, Central Supply, Surgery Department, or Acute Care Hospital experienceStrong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile processing proceduresExperience with instrument disassembly, inspection, reassembly, and sterilization of equipmentCRCST or CSPDT certification preferred: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)ResponsibilitiesClean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and traysOperate sterilizers, washers, sonic cleaners, and other SPD equipmentPerform biological and vacuum testingMaintain accurate sterilization documentation and load trackingPrepare case carts and restock supplies for surgical proceduresEnsure compliance with infection prevention and sterilization standardsCollaborate with nursing and surgical teams to support patient careIdeal CandidateExperienced in a fast-paced surgical or acute care environmentDetail-oriented with strong knowledge of sterile techniquesComfortable working independently while supporting multidisciplinary teamsFlexible and dependable with excellent communication skillsApply today to work with a respected healthcare system while enjoying everything San Diego has to offer!
