Sterile Processing TechJob Shift: EveningsJob Type: Full TimeThe Sterile Processing Tech performs sterilization and decontamination procedures to ensure quality Instrumentation is provided for patient care. Maintains supplies and equipment for use in patient care. Monitors inventory to ensure that patient needs are met. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.ResponsibilitiesPerforms decontamination procedure according to policy.Performs sterilization procedure according to departmental policy.Performs and oversees clerical functions related to maintenance of logbooks, inventory, trays.Maintains Patient care EquipmentProvides Professional Leadership and Direction to Staff.QualificationsMinimum Education / Licensure / CertificationsHigh school graduate or equivalentAble to communicate in English fluently (written and verbal).Certified central service technician or certification acquired within two (2) years 15+ yrs experience in lieu of certification acceptableAble to add, subtract, multiply and divide.Minimum ExperienceRequired: Certified technician or to be acquired within two (2) years (15+ yrs experience in lieu of certification acceptable)Desired: 1 year experience as a sterile processing technician.About UsGood Samaritan Medical Center Hospital is committed to providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
