Sterile Processing TechnicianAt PeaceHealth, every role contributes to our mission of providing compassionate, community-centered healthcare. As a Sterile Processing Technician at Sacred Heart Medical Center – Riverbend in Springfield, Oregon, you'll play a critical part in ensuring safe surgeries and excellent patient outcomes by cleaning, assembling, and sterilizing the instruments that keep our clinical teams moving.In this full-time, evening-shift position (1.00 FTE), you'll join a highly skilled, mission-driven team committed to quality, collaboration, and respect. This role is represented by a collective bargaining agreement, and multiple openings may be available.Compensation: $23.47 – $34.82 per hour Hiring rate based on education, experience, training, certification, and collective bargaining factors.Essential FunctionsResponsible for the coordination, assembly and distribution of supplies, equipment and instruments for surgical cases.Re-stocking inventory.Cleaning, decontaminating, disassembling and sterilizing instruments and supplies.Operate a variety of sterilization equipment.Clean and maintain department equipment.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma Preferred: or equivalentExperiencePreferred: Completion of a National Central Service Technician course and/or six months experience as a Sterile Process TechnicianCredentialsRequired: within 1 Year Natl Sterile Processing/Distribution Certification Certification from IAHCSMM, as a Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST), or certification from CBSPD as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Tech (CSPDT) or other nationally recognized certifying body. andRequired: within 1 Year CER Certified Endoscope Reprocessor if working in PHMG andSkillsBasic computer skills including MS Office applications. (Required)Demonstrated proficiency in verbal and written communications.
