Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that's committed to the care and improvement of human life – one surgery at a time.Your responsibilities will include:Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standardsMonitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality carePreparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needsSafely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organizedWorking closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeriesWhat qualifications you will need:Basic knowledge of surgical instrumentation and all aspects of sterilization processes, completion of a sterile processing program preferredPrefer six months to one year in a surgical or other related health care settingKnowledge of the functions of decontamination and sterilization equipment preferredAbility to exchange information in a factual, objective mannerWillingness to take direction from multiple sourcesAble to be flexible with regard to task priorities and time schedulesOverland Park Regional Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
