Sterile Processing TechnicianOur Sterile Processing Department is a critical unit responsible for the lifecycle management of medical instruments and equipment for 17 operating rooms at Forsyth Medical Center.Location: Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NCDepartment: Sterile ProcessingSchedule: Full-Time, 3pm-11:30p - 40 hours per week - Monday through FridayBenefits & OpportunitiesBrand NEW Sterile Processing Department with state of the art equipmentGrowing, dynamic unit with opportunities for professional developmentSupportive leadership fostering a positive work cultureWork alongside a dedicated team committed to quality patient careResponsible for providing clean, properly packaged, sterile instruments and supplies to meet individual customer needs.Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.Experience: One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Processing Department, preferred.Licensure/certification/registration: Sterile Processing Tech Certification, preferred. CBSPD, CRCST or CSPDT, required.Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays. Ability to learn and understand medical terminology.
