Job description
Sterile Processing TechnicianThe Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for decontamination, assembly of linen packs, operation of steam, ETO and other forms of sterilization. The Sterile Processing Technician maintains adequate inventory for assembly of instruments and equipment and performs multiple tasks that assist in the daily operation of all units as well as being responsible for customer service.Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma or EquivalentCertification as required by state regulations or contract specificationsCertification for sterile processing technicians by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) or the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) may be requiredOne (1) year of experience in sterile processing preferredCurrent CPR if applicableTB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicableCurrent Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)Must meet all federal, state and local requirementsMust be at least 18 years of ageBenefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits:Competitive pay & weekly paychecksHealth, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) savings planAwards and recognition programs
