Job description
Sterile Processing TechnicianAs a Sterile Processing Technician for STERIS, you'll work behind the scenes of healthcare facilities in a fast-paced environment, impacting patient safety without being patient facing. Working in the Sterile Processing Department, you will support surgical procedures by ensuring medical instruments are clean, sterile, organized, and available for the surgical team. This is an on-site role based in Louisville, KY supporting shift M-F 4p-12:30a.What You'll Do as a Sterile Processing Technician II:Reprocess surgical trays post-surgery; ensuring they are decontaminated, cleaned, inspected, sterilized, correctly assembled within a timely manner and ready for the next case.Operate sterile processing washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic and drying cabinets.Participate in regular on-site trainingThe Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed:High School diploma or GED1 year Sterile Processing experience with CRCST or CBSPD certification or 2 years' experienceCRCST or CBSPD certification (must obtain certification within 12 months of hire and maintain annually)Pay range for this opportunity is $18.80 - $24.33. This position is eligible for bonus participation.Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
