Job description
Sterile Processing TechnicianIn this role the certified Sterile Processing technician will perform the following job duties under the direction of a unit charge nurse:Collect, clean, disinfect, inspect and sterilizes surgical instruments and other medical equipment.Maintain code carts, chest carts, urology carts.Clean hospital wide equipment as needed.ScheduleFTE: 1.0Hours: VariableDays: VariableEducationRequired: High School Diploma/GEDLicensure/Certification/RegistrationRequired: Certification in either central service or surgery technologySpecial Skills/QualificationsRequired: Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.Additional Training/ExperienceRequired: Completion of formal central service technician or surgery technologist programPreferred: Previous central service, surgery, or patient care work experience is desirable
