We’re Hiring: Sterilization Team Lead
Brooklyn, NY | Full-time | On-site
Ezra Medical Center has proudly served the Brooklyn community for more than 18 years, providing compassionate, high-quality care across internal medicine, pediatrics, dental care, physical therapy, and vision services.
We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Sterilization Team Lead to guide our clinical support team and help maintain the highest standards of instrument processing, infection prevention, and patient safety.
What you’ll do
Lead and support the daily work of the sterilization team, coordinating priorities with providers and clinical staff.
Ensure instruments and equipment are cleaned, decontaminated, sterilized, and prepared for clinical use according to established protocols.
Operate autoclaves and monitor biological and chemical indicators to verify sterilization effectiveness.
Maintain accurate sterilization workflows and ensure procedures follow organizational, OSHA, and applicable regulatory standards.
Keep the sterilization area clean, organized, and safe.
Monitor sterilization supplies and help ensure clinical rooms are stocked with properly processed instruments.
Identify equipment issues, report maintenance needs, and communicate workflow updates to the team.
Support training, consistency, and accountability across the sterilization team.
Follow Ezra Medical Center’s policies, compliance program, and standards of integrity, teamwork, compassion, and excellence.
What we’re looking for
High school diploma or equivalent.
Hands-on experience sterilizing instruments in a medical office, dental practice, clinic, ambulatory surgery center, or hospital.
Sterile Processing Technician training or certification is a plus, but not required.
Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and teamwork.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
A commitment to infection prevention, patient safety, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Candidates with practical sterilization experience are encouraged to apply, even if they do not hold a formal certification.
