Our team combines the resources of a larger practice with a supportive environment where employees are valued and appreciated.What You'll Do as a Sterilization TechnicianClean, disinfect, inspect, package, and sterilize dental and oral surgery instruments using established infection-control procedures and aseptic techniques.Operate and monitor autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and other sterilization equipment, including documenting sterilization cycles.Inspect and prepare instruments and sterile trays so our clinical teams have the correct equipment and supplies ready for procedures.Maintain and restock sterile instruments, disposable supplies, and sterilization materials, communicating when items need to be reordered.Follow infection-control and safety protocols when handling contaminated instruments, sharps, biohazardous materials, and sterile supplies.Clean and maintain sterilization equipment and work areas, reporting equipment or maintenance concerns promptly.Collaborate with oral surgeons, surgical assistants, and other clinical team members to keep instruments moving efficiently through the sterilization process.Organize contaminated, clean, packaged, and sterile instruments appropriately to help prevent cross-contamination.Our Ideal Sterilization TechnicianDependable: Consistently follows established sterilization procedures and can be counted on in a busy clinical environment.Detail-Oriented: Notices the small details that matter when cleaning, inspecting, preparing, and sterilizing instruments.Organized: Keeps instruments, supplies, and the sterilization area orderly and ready for the clinical team.Trainable: Previous sterile processing experience or a medical background is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate; a high school diploma is preferred.Active: Able to stand for extended periods while completing daily sterilization responsibilities.Team-Oriented: Brings a positive, self-motivated approach and works collaboratively to support excellent patient care.What We Offer Our Sterilization TechnicianPay: $20+/hour, DOEHealth InsuranceIn-Office Dental CareVision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid HolidaysRetirement PlanLife InsuranceSummer BonusChristmas BonusStore Membership: Annual Costco, BJ's Wholesale, or Sam's Club membershipSchedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; Friday, 7:30 AM-2:00 PM.To ApplySterilization Technicians, Sterile Processing Technicians, Dental Sterilization Technicians, and healthcare support professionals interested in paid training and a full-time oral surgery position are encouraged to explore this opportunity with Conestoga Oral Surgery in Hummelstown, PA.
