nYour day to day
nnnClean and sanitize plateware, silverware, glassware, pots & pans, utensils and equipment, and work area in a timely manner.
n
nnSet up workstation as required to include filling dish machine, checking chemical levels, presoaking, and gathering required set-up equipment for appropriate workstations.
n
nnReplenish as needed for all shifts. Rinse/scrape all dishes.
n
nnOperate dishwashing machine to manufacturer specifications and instructions.
n
nnPlace clean dishes in assigned storage location.
n
nnPromote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Key departmental contacts include Catering, Banquets, Outlets, and Maintenance.
n
nnCheck the working condition of equipment and machinery in accordance with specifications. Inform supervisor of hazardous situations, emergencies or threats to the security of guests, employees or hotel assets.
n
nnClean designated equipment, such as hoods, filters, steam tables, bus tables, carts, ovens and grills, sinks, refrigerator/freezers, service areas, walls, floors, kitchen cafeteria dump site/compactor area as assigned. Use and dispose of kitchen substances (such as grease) and kitchen chemicals properly
n
nnEmpty and clean trash cans when they become full; transport garbage containers from kitchen and work areas to dump sites; adhere to recycling regulations
n
nnSet up and monitor the pot sink according to procedures
n
nnSweep and mop kitchen floor at the end of each meal period and after each spill
n
nnMonitor chemicals and water temperature during shift. Clean and organize associated work area and kitchen equipment according to procedures to maximize efficiency.
n
nnMay assist with other duties as assigned
n

nBasic reading, writing and math skills.

nnnCarrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds

nnStanding up and moving about the kitchen or other designated areas
n
nnHandling, objects, products, chemicals, cleaning supplies and utensils

nnBending, stooping, kneeling

nnnCommunicating with other people, following instructions

nnReading abilities are utilized often when reading chemical or machine labels or operating instructions

nnBasic mathematical skills are used to mix chemical solutions

nnMay be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

nThe hourly pay range for this role is $25.92 to $32.40 . This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Los Angeles, California. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
