Stick Welder (SMAW) – Direct HireExpress Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Stick (SMAW) Welder for a Direct Hire opportunity with a reputable industrial client. This role involves welding in piping, structural, and industrial environments while maintaining high safety and quality standards.ResponsibilitiesPerform Stick (Arc / SMAW) welding on piping, structural steel, and industrial componentsWeld in multiple positions including vertical, horizontal, and overheadRead and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbolsPrepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfacesInspect welds for strength, quality, and complianceFollow all safety policies and proceduresRequired QualificationsMinimum 2 years of hands-on Stick (Arc / SMAW) welding experienceExperience welding in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positionsExperience in piping, structural, and industrial welding environmentsAbility to obtain a Class E driver's licenseWillingness to travel 20–30%Ability to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred QualificationsWelding certification (AWS or equivalent)Plant shutdown and start-up experienceIndustrial mechanical experienceExperience with carbon steel and stainless steelWhy Work with Express?This is a Direct Hire position, meaning you are hired directly by our client—not through a temporary assignment.
