As a Stock Assembler I at Weatherby, you'll be part of the process that turns raw carbon and composite materials into the finest rifle stocks on the market. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail ensure every stock meets Weatherby's high standards for quality and performance.The Stock Assembler I is responsible for assembling and finishing Weatherby rifle stocks. Assignments may include basic or more complex tasks such as molding, sanding, pre-finishing, fitting parts, and final assembly. Manufacturing experience is a plus. English written and oral communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating instructions, and work orders. Basic math skills and ability to use measuring instruments. Strong problem-solving skills, thoroughness, and time management abilities.Ensure that assigned orders are finished according to schedule. Maintain the quality standards listed in the Weatherby10 Inspection and Test Quality Requirements. Meet objective goals assigned by the Mark V Lead during performance coaching.While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to acknowledge:Ability to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.Prolonged standing required; must be able to manipulate and assemble small parts.Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Ability to meet requirements for respirator use including medical evaluation and fit testing.Frequently lift/move 50 lbs; occasionally lift/move 70 lbs; push/pull up to 100 lbs.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
