We are employee owned and relationship powered.SHIFT: 1st with a 4AM start, 1st with a 9AM start or 2nd with a 4PM startPosition SummaryBased out of our Byron Center, MI facility, the Stone Fabrication team fabricates quartz, granite, and other hard surface countertops. Day-to-day responsibilities include:Stone Countertop Fabrication team is responsible for:Job layout and optimization of materialsProperly measuring and cutting materials (includes use of saws, routers, polishers, wizard, etc)Building countertops to customer specificationsPreparing and labeling countertops for shipmentMaintaining the fabrication schedule with the office to stay on time (using overtime if needed)Machine maintenance and upkeep along with tooling upkeepMaintaining granite inventory levels for stock replenishmentLogging material use for each job for the office to maintain inventory levels in the system and apply appropriate cost of material to each jobAssisting the rest of the shop team in terms of shop cleanliness and maintenanceAssisting other shop members with moving tops and basic shop work flowModifying/Adjusting other materials as needed (i.e. splash milling, quartz top adjustment etc.)At Lumbermen's, our business is built on relationships.
