JOB DESCRIPTION – STORAGE EQUIPMENT SALES ENGINEER
Job Title: Storage Equipment Sales Engineer / Project Manager
Location: Plain City, OH
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: General Manager, Storage Department
Compensation: Competitive compensation based on experience.
Job Summary
The Storage Equipment Sales Engineer / Project Manager is responsible for developing customer solutions for industrial storage systems by combining technical expertise, sales support and project management. This role partners with customers from concept through project completion, providing engineering support, preparing proposals, managing project execution and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. The position requires strong technical knowledge, customer relationship management and the ability to manage multiple projects throughout North America.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Engineering and Customer Support
Consult with customers to evaluate storage needs and develop engineered storage solutions.
Prepare equipment layouts, proposals, cost estimates and technical presentations.
Develop CAD drawings and specifications to support customer proposals and project execution.
Provide technical expertise throughout the sales process and assist with product selection.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities for business growth.
Project Management
Manage projects from initial quotation through installation and project closeout.
Coordinate project schedules, equipment procurement, subcontractors and internal resources.
Monitor project costs, timelines and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
Communicate regularly with customers, vendors and internal teams regarding project status and expectations.
Resolve project issues while maintaining customer satisfaction and project profitability.
Work closely with Sales, Operations, Engineering and Installation teams to ensure successful project execution.
Promote company policies, quality standards and safety practices.
Maintain accurate project documentation and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of five (3) years of experience in sales engineering.
Experience managing industrial or material handling projects from design through completion.
Experience with industrial storage systems, pallet racking, mezzanines, shelving systems, or other material handling equipment is strongly preferred.
Proficiency with CAD software and engineering design principles.
Strong project management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer relationship management abilities.
Willingness to travel throughout North America as required.

This position is based in Plain City, Ohio, with regular travel to customer sites throughout North America. The role includes office, manufacturing, warehouse and industrial job site environments.
