Monitor and controls inventory. Practice safe food handling guidelines. Supervise and direct operation of the night crew and third party vendors. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.ResponsibilitiesMaintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions to capture ordering system integrity including Computer Assisted Ordering and balance on hand (BOH) accuracyCheck condition, accuracy of quantity, pricing, and temperature of product receivedProcess damaged/returned goods and complete/process paperworkAssist with markdowns and 5S process (sort, straighten, shine, standardize and sustain) of markdown locationsEnsure inventory management for all delivered productManage Direct Store Delivery (DSD) ad plan, inventory and ad space on sales floorScan DSD out of stocks and communicate with vendorsMaintain excellent 5S standards in receiving and backroom areaEnsure all vendors follow company policies and procedures including vendor dress codeAssist with scheduling routine price changes by updating shelf tags and promotional signsAssist with planning, organizing and supervising the inventory processReport product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department managerStay current with present, future, seasonal and special adsAdhere to all food safety regulations and guidelinesAssist with perishable donation programEnsure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintainedEnsure shipping and receiving tools are working properly to provide a smooth transition of the products/merchandise into the store and inventory logsPractice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair e.g. power mule and hand jackEnsure maximum security of receiving area and backroomDevelop and train Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Receiver back upCommunicate company, department, and job specific information to associates and vendorsCollaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve company/store goalsTrain and develop associates on performance of their job and participate in the performance appraisal processAssist in other departments when neededAttend required classes and meetingsPrepare for and performs quarterly inventory of departmentUnload groceries and operates checkout terminal; executes monetary transactions for customer as neededBag groceries and loads into shopping carts as neededSupervisory Duties, If Assigned, For This JobEvaluate, prepare, and review associate performance evaluations with associatesInvestigate, determine action to be taken, and proceed with progressive discipline of associatesTrain new and promoted associatesCommunicate information to upper management and store personnelEnforce company policy and procedures and union contracts (if applicable)Review department statements and follows through on discrepanciesReview time cards and follows through as neededReview department bulletins, follows through and implements all company programsMonitor and control shrink and expensesComplete required formsDetermine emergency situations and contacts proper personnelMonitor and maintain security in store while in chargeMust be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.QualificationsHigh School graduate or equivalent preferredAbility to read a technical manual, retain and comprehendBasic math functions; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionWriting skills to complete forms for budgets, inventories, orders, and reportsUtilizes good customer service skillsDemonstrates ability to read and writeApplies basic math skillsUtilizes good communication skillsDemonstrates good organizational skillsDemonstrates good associate relations skillsDemonstrates ability for keyboard entries and 10 key useDemonstrates management and leadership skillsGrocery Department experienceReceiving experienceOrdering experienceJob InfoJob Identification Job Category Store OperationsLocations 7915 Constitution Ave, Colorado Springs, CO, 80951, USJob Schedule Full timeMinimum Salary $25.11Maximum Salary $25.11Line of Business Grocery RetailBanner Name King SoopersHourly or Salaried Hourly
