Job description
The Store Manager oversees all store operations, including staffing, training, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, select, train, and evaluate employees while ensuring proper staffing levels.
Lead performance management, conduct evaluations, and address gaps or disciplinary issues.
Manage store opening and closing, monitor sales, profitability, and expenses through operating statements.
Order merchandise to meet or exceed stock targets, oversee inventory accuracy, and facilitate merchandise presentation.
Maintain store safety, cleanliness, and security, ensuring compliance with safety policies and cash handling procedures.
Provide exceptional customer service and foster a positive shopping environment.
Ensure proper use of tools and equipment, and complete all necessary documentation accurately and timely.
Qualifications & Skills:
Ability to interpret documents, perform mathematical calculations, and handle cash accurately.
Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, and retail operations.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with recruiting, legal compliance, and store security practices.
Preferred high school diploma or equivalent and management experience in retail.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical & Work Environment:
Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Occasional climbing, driving, and exposure to outside weather conditions.
Fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels.
