Job description
The Store Manager oversees all store operations, including staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service, ensuring efficient and profitable store performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees; ensure proper staffing levels and compliance with labor laws.
Provide performance feedback, conduct evaluations, and manage employee development and discipline.
Manage store opening and closing, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, control expenses, and improve sales and profitability.
Order merchandise to meet stock targets; oversee inventory accuracy, damages, and markdowns.
Ensure merchandise presentation aligns with company standards, including signage and pricing.
Maintain cash handling integrity, security, and safety procedures; oversee cashier accountability.
Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a positive shopping experience.
Ensure compliance with company policies and complete all required documentation accurately.
Qualifications & Skills:
Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math calculations.
Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Experience in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing staff, with legal compliance awareness.
Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, lifting up to 55 pounds, and moving merchandise.
Preferably, a high school diploma or equivalent and management experience in retail.
