Job description
Role Overview: Responsible for managing store operations, staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to ensure effective implementation of store processes such as ordering, stocking, merchandising, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, select, retain, and train employees; conduct performance reviews and provide counseling or advancement recommendations.
Communicate performance, conduct, and safety expectations; ensure proper staffing and store opening/closing procedures.
Analyze operating statements to identify business trends and control expenses; manage inventory levels and ordering plans.
Oversee merchandise presentation, pricing, signage, and stock organization to meet company standards.
Maintain accurate inventory and ensure store security through cash handling, key control, and safety policies.
Deliver exceptional customer service; maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
Ensure compliance with company policies and complete documentation accurately and timely.
Qualifications & Skills:
Ability to interpret safety and operational documents; perform mathematical calculations.
Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Understanding of recruiting, legal compliance, and safety procedures.
Preferred high school diploma and management experience in retail.
Ability to solve problems, work in a fast-paced environment, and lift up to 55 pounds.
Physical & Working Conditions:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting; use of equipment; occasional outside weather exposure; moderate noise environment.
