Job description
We are launching a new concept store that combines our retail experience with an in-store Thursday Cafe™. This location represents an evolution of the brand, bringing together product, service, and hospitality in a more immersive environment that celebrates fine craftsmanship in all its forms.
Role Description
As the leader of your store, you are responsible for every aspect of business performance: delivering an exceptional customer experience, building a strong Ambassador team, and achieving results that support sustainable profitability and long-term growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role with high accountability and meaningful upside for someone who wants to own the result. You lead from the floor, set the pace for execution, and ensure both retail and cafe operations reflect the brand at the highest level. You also bring a deep understanding of how quality footwear, apparel, and accessories are created, and ensure the team can confidently speak to product and fit.
You are responsible for building and maintaining a culture of hospitality across the retail and cafe business, ensuring every customer interaction is intentional, coordinated, and delivered at a high standard.

What You’ll Do
Customer Experience & Hospitality
Develop a culture of extreme hospitality so every visitor leaves with a memorable, positive experience
Build and develop a team that consistently delivers strong service by setting clear expectations and holding performance to a high standard
Drive service standards that lead to strong customer feedback and consistent recognition by name
Identify opportunities to improve service, store flow, and the overall customer experience across retail and cafe
Set the tone on the floor by modeling premium service, coaching in real time, and removing barriers to a better experience
Leadership & Team Development
Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team of Baristas, Retail Ambassadors, Lead Ambassadors, and Assistant Store Managers
Set clear expectations and deliver consistent, structured feedback through ongoing performance management
Build a team culture where expectations are clear, feedback is timely, and leaders consistently follow through on performance and development
Coach leaders and team members to drive strong individual performance and team results
Lead from the floor—supporting the team, solving problems, and upholding standards
Store Performance & Business Ownership
Drive revenue, conversion, profitability, and customer loyalty across both retail and cafe operations on a sustainable basis
Use sales, labor, and expense performance to make informed operational decisions that improve efficiency and overall resultsTranslate sales, labor, and customer feedback trends into clear weekly priorities that improve results
Review performance regularly and adjust staffing, floor leadership, and coaching as needed
Provide clear written updates on performance, priorities, and follow-through, with full accountability for results
Align the team to business goals and maintain accountability through daily execution
Store Operations & Execution
Lead daily store operations across retail and cafe to drive consistency, efficiency, and accuracy
Manage scheduling, staffing, and labor across both environments
Ensure consistent execution of POS processes, inventory routines, and store procedures across both retail and cafe operations
Own inventory accuracy across retail and cafe through consistent cycle counts, restocks, discrepancy follow-up, and reporting
Hold the team accountable to clear operating expectations each day
Cafe Operations & Experience
Own the in-store cafe experience, including beverage quality, speed of service, equipment readiness, and customer flow
Ensure consistent execution of beverage standards, workflows, and service expectations
Train and develop team members on beverage preparation, equipment use, and cafe operations
Manage cafe-related inventory, ordering, and supply levels, including coffee, ingredients, and other cafe essentials
Monitor cafe sales, labor, and product usage trends to identify opportunities that improve efficiency, consistency, and overall performance
Drive improvements to the Thursday Cafe experience through operational feedback, customer insights, and team observations
Comply with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements related to food safety
Food & Beverage Safety & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and local health regulations
Maintain readiness for health inspections and ensure all standards and documentation are consistently met
Train and enforce proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness procedures across the team
Complete required food safety training and certifications as applicable
Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of all coffee and food preparation equipment
Maintain consistent execution of all food and beverage safety standards across the team
Store Presentation & Environment
Uphold high store standards across cleanliness, organization, and presentation in both retail and cafe
Drive strong merchandising and product presentation that supports the customer journey
Ensure the store environment—including ambiance and functionality—reflects brand standards across all areas
Take ownership of store condition by identifying maintenance needs and coordinating timely resolution with internal teams and vendors
What You Bring
5+ years of retail management experience, including single or multi-store responsibility
Experience supporting cafe, food, or beverage operations is a plus
Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain high-performing teams
Strong leadership skills with the ability to own results across multiple operational areas
Solid business acumen with experience driving sales, profitability, and operational performance
Results-oriented mindset with the ability to turn insights into action
Excellent communication and organizational skills
High level of accountability, reliability, and professional integrity
Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast‑paced retail environment
A genuine passion for high-quality footwear and apparel
Ability to balance retail selling, cafe service, compliance, staffing, and customer experience within one location
