Role Description
The Store Manager role at Dollar General in Richmond, VA is a full-time, on-site position responsible for overseeing all daily store operations. The Store Manager leads and develops store associates, manages scheduling, and ensures excellent customer service and satisfaction. This role includes monitoring inventory levels, merchandising products, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized store environment. The Store Manager is accountable for cash handling, retail loss prevention, and adherence to company policies and procedures. Additionally, the Store Manager analyzes sales performance, implements promotional activities, and collaborates with district leadership to achieve operational and financial goals.
Qualifications
Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service.
Effective interpersonal abilities, including clear and professional Communication.
Proven leadership in Store Management, including staff supervision, scheduling, and operations.
Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices and adherence to safety and security standards.
Experience in retail or related customer-facing environments, preferably in a supervisory role.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Solid organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business or retail management is a plus.
Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move merchandise as part of regular store operations.
