Job description
Storeroom SupervisorResponsible for the routine daily storeroom operations including ordering, inventorying, stocking, and issuing all storeroom supplies. Supervises storeroom personnel and serves as liaison for the Materials Management Department between all departments and the storeroom keeping the Materials Management Director informed of storeroom activities, needs, and potential problems. Participate in committee assignments as directed by the Materials Management Director.Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: Three years storeroom/purchasing experience with a minimum one year in a healthcare related setting. Supervisory experience is desirable but not required. Certification: License: Other: Requires knowledge of basic storeroom activities in a computerized environment. Requires word processing, spreadsheet, and database skills. Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to respond calmly and quickly with good judgement in stressful situations.Preferred: Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Ability to regularly stand and walk, occasionally bend, squat and twist, and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds using proper body mechanics. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity with or without correction. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.
