Strategic Account Director – Procurement Technology

Enterprise SaaS | Existing Customer Growth | Individual Contributor

We’re partnering with a fast-growing global B2B technology business that is looking to appoint a Strategic Account Director to manage and grow a portfolio of major enterprise customers.

This is a senior individual contributor role focused on existing customers rather than new-logo acquisition. The successful candidate will own strategic relationships across a portfolio of large, complex organisations and will be responsible for increasing adoption, expanding use cases and driving commercial growth.

The role sits at the intersection of strategic account management, customer growth and procurement technology, so we’re particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have worked for procurement, P2P, spend management, payments or adjacent enterprise SaaS vendors.

You’ll act as the strategic relationship owner for a portfolio of large enterprise customers, building relationships across Procurement, Finance, AP and executive stakeholders.

Your focus will be on understanding each customer’s priorities, identifying where the platform can create additional value, and turning that into deeper adoption, broader usage and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

Owning and developing relationships with major enterprise customers

Building senior stakeholder networks across Procurement, Finance and related functions

Leading executive meetings and strategic business reviews

Driving customer adoption and increasing usage across the organisation

Identifying new use cases and expansion opportunities within existing accounts

Using customer and product data to identify growth opportunities and track performance

Working closely with Sales on commercial expansion opportunities

Acting as a trusted adviser on procurement, P2P and spend-management priorities

Coordinating internally across Product, Support, Sales and other teams to deliver against customer objectives

Feeding customer insight back into the business to support product and commercial strategy

The underlying brief is very much about owning a book of strategic customers, driving adoption and revenue growth, and supporting expansion within those accounts.

We’re looking for someone with a strong track record in strategic account management within procurement technology or a closely related enterprise SaaS environment .

You’ll ideally bring:

Experience managing and growing complex enterprise accounts

A strong track record of increasing adoption and identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities

Experience working with senior Procurement, Finance and executive stakeholders

Strong commercial instincts combined with a consultative approach

Knowledge of procurement, P2P, Accounts Payable or enterprise buying processes

Familiarity with platforms such as Ariba, Coupa, SAP, Oracle, Taulia or similar

Confidence navigating complex stakeholder environments

Strong influencing, negotiation and relationship-management skills

The ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of a strategic customer portfolio

The role specifically calls for procurement-domain expertise and familiarity with major procurement and ERP platforms, alongside experience working with large enterprise customers and senior stakeholders.
