Job description
You've spent your career inside the custom silicon business. You know exactly where it breaks. You've sat across from a founder who needs an AI accelerator taped out and doesn't have the team to do it. You've watched a turnkey program stall at backend. You've been the one explaining to a hyperscaler why the derivative isn't as cheap as they assumed, and you've negotiated the NRE that made it work anyway.
That experience is the job. We're hiring someone who already speaks this language fluently and wants to build a business with it rather than sell another seat of the same thing.
This will feel familiar if you've come from…
A custom silicon / turnkey ASIC house - owning programs end to end from spec through to silicon
An IP or platform company - where the sale was technical, consultative, and measured in design wins, not licences shifted
An ER&D or engineering services practice selling into Semi & Electronics.
Strategic sales or alliances where your credibility came from understanding the silicon, not the CRM
Why you might move
Inside a silicon engineering partner, the business is bounded by what your fab slot, your IP portfolio and your product roadmap allow. Here it isn't. Quest Global sells engineering capability, so the conversation starts with the customer's problem and ends wherever the engineering can take it. Test chips, derivative programs, post-silicon validation, full-turnkey ambitions over time. You decide which doors to open.
What you'll own
A quota, and full authorship of how you hit it across custom silicon, ASIC and MPU programs in North America
White space: emerging accounts, under-leveraged MSAs, partnerships nobody has framed yet
Net-new Focus Accounts, and existing ones scaled into durable engineering partnerships rather than staffing arrangements
The internal orchestration- engineering, delivery, solutioning as the customer's voice inside the company
This role is for you if…
You've built from nothing before and would rather do it again than inherit a running book
Ambiguity reads as room to move. No playbook, no named account list on day one
You operate like a founder — you set the direction and chase the first meeting yourself
Your foundry relationships are real.
You've carried a number and beaten it
This role isn't for you if…
You need a defined territory, a mature pipeline, and a team already in place
You're strongest growing an existing account base rather than creating new ones
You'd like the first year to be predictable
What's in it for you
Competitive base with a substantial sales incentive tied to what you bring in, plus equity. Behind you: 28 years of hard engineering, 23,000+ engineers, 84 delivery centres across 18 countries and a semiconductor practice that is being built, not maintained. Bring the network. We'll build the business around it.
