Base pay range
$74,000.00/yr - $84,000.00/yr
Are you a creative and collaborative individual with a passion for content creation? As the Strategic Communications Specialist with this DC law firm, you will play a key role in creating and developing the social media presence and content for the firm and their clients. If you are a highly organized, skilled multitasker with experience in communications and policy, who is looking for the opportunity to showcase your writing and editing skills, this could be the right fit for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Brainstorm and develop social media content for clients on a variety of social media platforms that cover a range of political issues.
Manage deadlines and deliverables across client teams.
Draft press releases, speeches, talking points, blog posts, and media advisories.
Stay informed on related news stories, and upcoming events/announcements.
Assist with developing strong media relations through research of any relevant media outlets and reporters.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to create strategies that align with clients’ goals and current media trends.

What We’re Looking For:
Educated and Experienced. Bachelor’s degree required, with a minimum of one (1) or more years of experience in political communications. Experience in a communications agency or government affairs is preferred.
Technologically Skilled. You are familiar and comfortable using a variety of platforms including Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress, Canva, and other digital marketing and design tools.
Content Creator. You have excellent writing skills and can convert complex topics into clear, easy to understand material.
Motivated. You can thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Client-Focused. You have a passion for delivering excellent service and producing high-quality work.
