Job description
Strategic Planning Consultant
Design and facilitate inclusive strategic planning and goal-setting processes.
Conduct environmental scans, stakeholder engagement, and organizational assessments.
Analyze trends, needs, risks, capabilities, and strategic options.
Develop mission, vision, priorities, objectives, initiatives, and performance measures.
Create implementation roadmaps with owners, timelines, resources, and dependencies.
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Planning, Economics, or a related field.
8+ years of strategic planning, public-sector consulting, facilitation, or organizational strategy experience.
Demonstrated experience leading multi-stakeholder planning engagements.
Strong research, analysis, facilitation, and executive writing skills.
Ability to connect strategy to measurable implementation and accountability.
Master's degree or certification in planning, facilitation, project management, or change management.
Local government, workforce development, or economic development experience.
Experience incorporating inclusive perspectives into policy and planning.
