Job description
Insight Global is hiring a Structural Engineer to support a growing engineering team in the Denver, CO area . This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity focused on structural design for temporary structures, formwork, shoring and foundations used throughout the construction process. Candidates do not necessarily need previous temporary works experience. Someone coming from traditional structural engineering who has strong reinforced concrete design experience and is interested in transitioning into temporary structures could be a great fit.
What you'll be doing:
* Design and analyze temporary structures and foundations used during construction
* Perform structural calculations for formwork, shoring, bracing and support systems
* Prepare and review structural drawings, calculations and engineering documentation
* Provide engineering support throughout design, fabrication and construction
* Stamp and approve engineering designs as required
What we're looking for:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related engineering discipline
* 5+ years of structural design experience
* Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state
* Strong experience designing reinforced concrete structures
* Interest in transitioning into temporary works, formwork, shoring and construction engineering
Nice to have:
* Previous formwork or shoring design experience
* Experience with 3D modeling and/or BIM (Building Information Modeling)
* Familiarity with ACI, AISC, ASCE, and/or NDS
