Bunker Engineering is a structural engineering firm in Lake Worth Beach FL that specializes in forensic investigations & restoration of existing buildings. We are looking for staff engineers with knowledge and a good understanding of construction standards, design of concrete, steel and wood structures, and is a proficient communicator, both written and verbal. **Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Engineer to join our team. The Staff Engineer will be responsible for various stages of construction and design projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and possess excellent technical writing skills. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the growth of our organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Excel, AutoCAD and other engineering software.
Knowledge and Understanding of Florida building codes, regulations, and standards.
Excellent technical writing abilities for project documentation.
Strong communication ability for preparing reports, letters and email correspondence.
Knowledge and experience with construction documents, contractors' contracts and pay applications.
Engineering calculations for structural design.
**Duties:**
Prepare engineering reports related to forensic investigations.
Utilize AutoCAD and engineering programs to create detailed drawings, calculations and schematics for engineering projects.
Prepare technical repair specifications and drawings for structural repairs.
Prepare detailed inspection reports for clients and contractors during construction phase of projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Starting $75,000 year - Dependent on experience and skills, competitive with industry standards
