Job description
You’ll be at the center of complex building projects and a flagship New York City construction site:
Structural systems for a wide range of building types
Regional structural engineering projects across multiple sectors
Contract documents including drawings and specifications
Project technical and quality reviews
Client-facing design and coordination meetings
Industry and professional groups aligned with the NY structures market
You’ll work across building codes, project delivery frameworks, and construction-phase coordination to ensure structural systems perform on paper and on site.
Your core challenge: lead complex structures from design through construction while keeping clients confident and projects on track.
What We're Looking For
10+ years of significant experience leading structural engineering projects or teams across a variety of sectors
Proven experience leading structural engineering projects during the construction phase
Licensed as a PE and/or SE Required
Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and clients
Confident, proactive character with a track record of taking the lead
Demonstrated success in client relationship management and project delivery
Strong interest in work-winning and supporting business growth
The Experience That Will Really Get Our Attention
You’ve been the go-to structural lead on complex building projects, especially once shovels hit the ground. You’re comfortable walking a site in the morning, resolving a contractor RFI on the spot, then stepping into a design team meeting to steer strategy and keep the client aligned.
You balance rigor in analysis and code compliance with practical constructability, and you know how to coach junior engineers and drafters to deliver clean, buildable documents. You’re active in the local industry, and you like being out in front representing the structural discipline.
