You’lljoin KPFF’s Salt Lake City office, a collaborative and community-focused team with decades of experience across the Wasatch Front and beyond. Our team provides structural engineering services throughout Utah and the surrounding area, contributing to projects that shape the local skyline and contribute to our region's continued growth. Our portfolio includes work for the University of Utah, the City of Salt Lake, the State of Utah, Utah Tech University, Unified Fire, and others, along with a wide range of public and private projects delivered in partnership with leading architects, developers, and contractors.

In this role,you’lltake on increasing responsibility, expand your technical and leadership skills, and play a key role in shaping innovative structural solutions.

WhatYou’llDo

Lead & Contribute :Take ownership of design tasks, analysis, and documentation whileworking on ormanagingengineeringprojects appropriate to your experience level.

Collaborate Across Disciplines:Work closely with architects, owners, and contractors to ensure successful outcomes.

Deliver Quality Solutions :Applyengineeringknowledgeandcreative problem-solving to deliver practical, innovative designs.

Mentorship & Growth :Learn from senior engineers and contribute to a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaboration.Train and support entry level engineering toassistthem in developing their career.

Be Part ofUtah's Growth :Contribute to projects that shape the community, from commercial developments to public facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civilor Structural Engineering (Master’spreferred).

At least threeyears of relevant structural engineering experience,demonstratingstrong technical and organizational abilities.

PE license preferred, or a clear commitment to pursuing licensure with support from KPFF’s professional development programs.

Proficiencyin Revit and familiarity with ETABS, RAM, RISA 3D, SAP2000, SAFE, or other structural analysis and design software.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

A proactive, curious, and adaptable mindset, with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.

Additional Information

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.

Occasionallymay berequiredto lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.

Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation

The base salary for this role is competitive and will bedeterminedbased on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate with3-6years of experience is$80,000-$95,000 . Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center.During the interview process,we'llprovide detailed information and address any questions you may have about the overall compensation package and benefits.
