Structural Steel Welder/FitterTradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Steel Welders/Fitters for projects located in the Orting, WA area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $30-32/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Structural Steel Welder/Fitter and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!Job Scope:Read and interpret structural steel fabrication drawingsPerform layout, measuring, marking, and material preparationCut structural steel using beam saws, plasma cutting equipment, and other fabrication toolsVerify dimensions and maintain fabrication tolerancesFit and assemble beams, columns, plates, and structural steel componentsTack weld assemblies prior to final weldingUse clamps, fixtures, levels, squares, and measuring tools to ensure proper alignmentWork safely and efficiently in a structural steel fabrication environmentPerform FCAW (Dual Shield) welding using.052 and 1/16" wireProduce quality structural welds that meet shop standardsInspect completed work for quality and maintain a clean, organized work areaRequirements:Must pass a 3G and 4G weld testExperience fitting and fabricating structural steelAbility to read and interpret fabrication drawingsExperience with FCAW (Dual Shield) weldingExperience using plasma cutters, beam cutting equipment, and standard fabrication toolsAbility to lift 50+ lbs. and work safely in a fabrication shopWABO certification preferred but not requiredBe Safe from fraud!
