Structured Finance Associate Attorney
Location: Multiple U.S. Offices
Are you a finance attorney looking to build your career on sophisticated structured finance transactions within a leading national practice?
A highly regarded international law firm is seeking a Structured Finance Associate to join its growing Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 2+ years of law firm experience to work on complex commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) transactions and other structured finance matters alongside experienced practitioners serving an impressive national client base.
This role offers exposure to high-value, market-leading transactions while providing strong mentorship, meaningful responsibility, and excellent opportunities for long-term career progression.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on structured finance and commercial real estate finance transactions.
Assist with commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) transactions from inception through closing.
Conduct legal research and provide practical analysis on complex finance matters.
Draft and negotiate transaction documents, agreements, opinions, and related legal documentation.
Support due diligence, closings, and transaction management.
Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups on sophisticated financing matters.
Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional legal service.
What We’re Looking For
JD required.
Previous experience working in a law firm is essential.
At least 2 years of law firm experience.
Experience in commercial real estate finance, structured finance, CMBS, or securities offerings is preferred, but candidates with transferable finance experience are encouraged to apply.
Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Admission to the Bar in the jurisdiction of practice, or eligibility to obtain admission.
