Own and manage a pipeline queue of transactions to strict deadlines, with minimal oversight.

Provide legal advice and judgment on documentation and templates for new or adapted payoffs, liaising directly with internal legal departments and external counsel as needed.

Act as a key point of escalation for complex legal or documentation issues.

Mentor and provide guidance to paralegals and junior members of the documentation team.

Drive process improvements and lead adoption of technology for document automation.

Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client contacts in Operations, Structuring, Legal and Trading

Required Qualifications & Skills:

J.D. and active bar admission (New York bar preferred) required.

5+ years of post-qualification experience within the financial services industry drafting issuance documentation for securities or structured products, or complex/non-standard derivatives.

Deep experience working on structured products and/or derivative transactions, including exposure to complex or bespoke payoffs.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise legal judgment, and take ownership of a high-volume transaction pipeline.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in written form.

Ability to prioritize workflows in order to meet deadlines.

Ability to adapt to a changing environment and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and deliver high quality work.

Strong work ethic proven by previous working experience.

Excellent Microsoft Suite skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook).

Salary Range:

$175,000 - $225,000
